Trust in His no

Sometimes when we pray and we give everything to God, the answer to our prayers might be a No or a Not right now.

How do we react to this? Do we get upset that God didn't fulfill our wishes the way we wanted? Or do we say thank you, Lord?

Recently I have been praying for something that was sitting on my heart not knowing what was meant to happen and I asked that the Lord help me and guide me in this situation. When I received my answer, I was upset. Later, I reflected upon the answer that God gave me and I thought what is God trying to protect me from in this situation? Or where is He leading me instead? It's something that I don't know right now. But I know that I have to praise Him for revealing to me His will for my life.

Whenever I am faced with a situation where I have to give something to God and to trust Him, I always pray this prayer: "Lord if this is your will, then may this be blessed. But if it is not your will help me to accept your no."

We have to trust that God wants the very best for us. We have to trust that He will provide us in the best ways.

Even when we receive a no, it's not meant to hurt us. It is there to redirect us, to guide us and to provide for us in ways that we can't even imagine.

I want to leave you with my favorite bible verse today: “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” ~Jeremiah 29:11

Trust in His no, as much as you would trust in His yes.

Praying for you all.

In Christ, Diana
