Suffering with Christ
My dearest sisters,
I wanted to wait till 3pm with you to share my reflection as today is such an important day. Today we are celebrating Divine Mercy Sunday.
This day has always been very special to me. And as I was preparing for Divine Mercy Sunday, I was reading St. Faustina's Diary and I came across this quote:
"Suffering is the great grace through the suffering soul becomes like the Saviour; In suffering love becomes crystallized; the greater the suffering the purer the love."
I know many of us go through these difficult moments, and it is so easy to just say, this is so hard and I can't do this because of this. And I have experienced that in my life too.
But what I have come to realize is that when I offer my suffering to God, there is joy in the suffering. I know that I can offer my suffering for those that I love. Or I can offer it up for the biggest sinner, who just doesn't know God. And for so many other intentions.
My sisters, when we carry our crosses of suffering by ourselves they become overwhelmingly heavy. But when we unite our suffering to the Lord and invite Him to help us, He lifts some of the burdens.
Find the joy in your sufferings, because there is so much grace to be found.
I'm praying for you in this hour of mercy my sisters. May God shower down upon you with His great love and mercy.
In Christ, Diana
