Share Your Story
We cultivate love when we allow our most vulnerable and powerful selves to be deeply seen and known. ~Brene Brown
Every day we share with you ladies our struggles and allow ourselves to be completely and totally vulnerable with you on here. We feel like we have been called to share with you the way that God moves in our daily lives. Sometimes, it's really hard to be vulnerable. But I want to tell you today, how important your story is for another person.
Many years ago, one of my dearest friends was sharing with me something that she experienced at a party. And when she told me this heartbreaking story, it allowed me to open up to her and share my own story. Vulnerability allows for vulnerability. I shared with her my experience of sexual abuse and what I went through.
Last week, she called me and said that while she was working with a young girl, this girl opened up to my friend about her own story of sexual abuse.
The first thought she had was: "What would Diana do in this situation? What would have helped Diana long ago when she was seeking help?"
My sisters, I want to share this with you today to show you how your vulnerability can make a difference in another person's life. We never know how our own stories might impact someone that we don't even know. Our stories have a way of creating a ripple effect in this world.
No story was meant to be buried away. All of our stories are meant to be told. We are a living witness to the world, that we can overcome our struggles, our Cross and to show the world that with Christ we can keep going!
Vulnerability is about being brave, it's about strength... And it is always worth it. It's worth it because it's about the truth.
Praying for you always.
In Christ, Diana
