Share Christ with the World
When people look at me, do they see God? Do we reflect Christ to the world?
“For those whom he foreknew, he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son” (Romans 8:29)
The Bible tells us that our purpose for life, as a Christian, is to conform to the image of Christ. To be a reflection of His characteristics in everything that we do. If I am not conforming myself to become more noticeably like Christ, then I have missed the purpose of my life, that God has called for me to live out. God calls us to be more like His son, He calls us to love as His own Son did. All the way to the cross, Christ never stopped loving us.
God knew us from the very beginning, He says “Before I formed you in the womb, I knew you, I set you apart, I appointed you as a prophet to the nations”. (Jeremiah 1:5) God has known us from the beginning of time, He knew who we would be. He has set us apart from this world and called us to be His prophets to the world. How can we be His prophets? One simple way is to be a reflection of Christ in this world.
The only way that we are able to share Christ with others is to become more like Him. To have a heart that is called to love and serve.
My dearest sisters, do we conform to be more like Christ? Do we walk through this world spreading the message of God in everything that we do?
Some of us are called to stand up and spread the message of the gospel, but some of us are called to be the simple prophets. In your everyday life, do you show your co-worker that you love them? Do you share Christ with them daily by the kindness of your words? Do you tell them that they are loved with a smile or a compliment? Do you share Christ with your families by helping your loved ones with something as simple as washing the dishes? Do you share the love of God by making your family members know that they are loved? Do you share Christ with your neighbors when you say good morning and wish them a great day, rather than just walking by them as if they were not there?
In all of these simple ways, we are spreading Christ to the world and His love. When we conform to His image, we can reflect His image better.
Today, take some time to think about this #ScriptureSunday reflection and look at your life. Are you conforming to become more like Christ? God has called you to be His prophet in the world. Are you living out this command?
In Christ, Diana
