Set realistic goals for your days

As we move along through this difficult time of the pandemic, it's so easy to fall into a sadness and a feeling of spiritual desolation. We might feel down, saddened, and lost in a time where we feel like there is so much uncertainty.

And it's okay to experience these emotions. It's okay to feel this way, but what I hope is that we do not get stuck in these emotions.

With spiritual desolation, it's easy to let it take over our lives and feel unmotivated to do anything. When I experience times of spiritual desolation, I don't feel like doing anything and then I hop onto the tv binge watching train and don't do anything.

But what I found is that when I apply structure and goals into my day, it is productive, more balanced and I don't feel that sadness. I feel joyful in all that I have achieved and accomplished in this day.

If you are struggling right now with this pandemic, set realistic goals for your days. Start your day with a prayer. Get exercise, go for walks, ride a bike etc. Eat good foods that are going to nourish your body. Read books that will help calm your mind. Do the daily tasks that are required of you.

Let's start this brand new week with some more structure to our lives.
