Today's song is one that really struck me when I first heard it, and it reminds me of that childlike love that St. Therese really focused on. It is called "Reckless Love" by Cory Asbury https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7GGJ8cyYNzQ
God's love for us is so immense and powerful, even reckless in a way, if we think about the length He would go to for us. He would climb mountains, chase away shadows, leave everything to come after us when we stray, and when He finds us He picks us up in his arms, and carries us like the most precious princess that we are.
St. Therese always saw herself as small, especially when she compared herself to incredible saints like St. Teresa of Avila. She knew she couldn't climb that large staircase of sanctity, so she wanted to find an elevator to heaven through the small simple way. What was her elevator? The arms of our Lord!
Let yourself be embraced by those arms today, and be loved by the reckless love of our Heavenly Father!
St. Therese of Lisieux, pray for us!
Love and Prayers, -Sandra
