My Mission

This past weekend, we had the funeral of a very good family friend of ours. As I was sitting and listening to the priest talk about the time we are given here on earth, it dawned on me that it had been a exactly one month since my surgery. When I was going in for my surgery, I went in with the mindset that if God calls me home, I'm ready. But when I woke up, the thought that my mission here on earth is not yet over came to mind. As I was sitting and listening to this priest talk about the time we are given here on this earth, I thought back to this thought of my mission not being completed. I have thought a lot about what my mission is here on this earth: To love and serve God, everyday and to glorify Him in all that I do. I feel like many of us can go through the motions of the day to day, but forget to live our daily mission. But when we ground ourselves in the fact that we are here on earth to do great things, even the simplest of ways, things becomes so great. Like St. Therese says, it's the little way. All that we do here on earth should be done to glorify God. Like washing those plates, even though they are not yours or calling that friend who is going through a difficult time. These are simple little ways that we can live out our mission to love and serve God, and to glorify Him. We all have that same mission here on this earth. We are all give time here to live it out. What are you doing to live it out? Praying for you. In Christ, Diana
