"Judas ate too"
A few day I saw a picture floating on Facebook that really made me reflect upon the love of God. It was picture of a tattoo that someone had on their arm and it said, "Judas ate too". With it there was a reflection: "Yet in that room, hours before the death of Jesus, Judas ate too. Jesus fed Judas too. Jesus prayed for Judas too. Jesus washed Judas' feet too. I struggle to fathom that kind of love. A love that would feed the mouth that deceived you. A love that would wash the treasonous feet of the traitor. A love that could forgive even the vilest of betrayals. I honestly struggle to comprehend it. And then I suddenly realized, that I am Judas. And in that moment, I am so thankful and altogether overwhelmed that Judas ate too." As I reflected upon this, I thought about how much God loves. The depth of His love for each and every single one of us goes far beyond our comprehension. He knew that Judas would betray Him, but what did He do? He loved Him. Are we able to love like this? To serve those who have hurt us? I am grateful that Judas was in that room, because it has taught me the depth of love that God has for me, a sinner. It has showed me, that no matter how terrible I may be, in my sinfulness, I can always come back to God. And He will wash away my sins and feed me with His precious bread of life. Praying for you all.
