He is in control
"God isn't asking you to figure it out. He is asking you to trust that He already has." Over the last little while, I have been reflecting on what it truly means to trust and surrender to God. It's so easy to say, "Lord, I give this to you." But so hard to actually let go and allow God to lead you.
I always feel like I have to have a tight hold on things, to make sure that things don't fall apart. But I have felt the hand of God over mine in my life, letting me release things into His care.
The thing about surrendering to God, and allowing Him to be the one in control means that you have to be at peace with whatever the Lord does in your life. It means that if things don't go the way you want, that you trust that this was meant to sanctify you.
Trusting in God allows us to rely completely on Him, and to believe in His love and compassion for us. But He is constantly reminding us of His love and guidance.
Jesus replied, "You do not realize now what I am doing, but later you will understand." (John 13:7) We don't always have to know what God does. We don't have to always have it figured out. We just have to trust.
Let go and trust today. Whatever comes, know that He is the one in control.
