Do it for the glory of God
Having just returned back to work after the longest march break in the world, it feels unreal. The world is a completely different place, and sadly that means currently I can’t fulfill my job to the way that I would like. I loved that every day I would spend time with children and help them reach their goals and to improve in their speech.
With the pandemic, I’m sadly sitting in my office for the foreseeable future. These last two weeks were very hard and almost seemed like they had no purpose as all I was doing was working on a project.
But, as I sat down to do a bible reflection, I received the verse: “Whatever you do, do it for the glory of God.” 1 Corinthians 10:31. As I reflected upon this, it occurred to me, that even sitting at my desk and working on this project could be done to praise and glorify God. I have so much to be grateful for. I have a job that I returned to after the break, and I have things to work on.
I think we often think, if it’s not something big or significant that we are doing in our lives, than that can’t be an offering to God. When in reality, even offering up our little daily tasks, when we do it for love of God, can be an offering to Him.
So moms out their, every diaper you change or every counter you wipe off, do it for the love of God. All you professionals, with every report you complete or meeting you attend, do it for the love of God. Find purpose in knowing that all that you do, can be used to glorify God.
Praying for you.
