2020 made me appreciate...
As the year comes to an end, it is a wonderful time to reflect upon the year that has passed. Although 2020 was a really difficult year, there are so many hidden blessings in 2020 that we can all appreciate. Here's a few for me that I want to share with all of you.
2020 made me appreciate:
Health: that I was healthy and my family was healthy throughout this pandemic.
Family: time spent with my family, and that we truly love each other.
Friendships: although I wasn't able to see so many friends over the course of this year, I was still able to feel the support of many friends throughout the year.
Walks: Being out in nature and in the fresh air
Video Calls: Even though we were separated from those that we love for months at a time, we could still connect with each other.
Toilet paper: that I had all the necessities in my home, and that I never experienced a shortage.
Food: I was able to nourish my body with good foods and experiment with new recipes.
Coffee: The morning iced coffee on a hot day.
Love: I felt incredibly loved in 2020.
Prayer: I deepened my prayer life and placed my trust in God even more so.
Mass: Not being able to attend mass, made me crave it so much more.
Eucharist: Every time that I was able to receive the Body of Christ, made me realize what a grace I had for so many years to be able to receive my Lord and Saviour, without any worry about when the next time I would be able to receive Him again.
These are just some of the things that I appreciate about 2020. I'm sure there are many more. So although 2020 was a difficult year, I want us to look at all the positive things that happened this year and move into the coming year with a grateful heart.
